This is where you enter the basic salary information of the employee
✓Short Name – other names or English name of the employee ✓Enter the Birth Date of the employee - this is needed for CPF calculation ✓CPF / FWL - select from the list whether this employee is under CPF Contribution, PR (1stor 2nd year), or which type of Foreign Worker Levy or work pass ✓PR Approval Date – this will be enabled once PR 1st or 2nd is selected under CPF / FWL ✓CPF Option – this is where you can select how the CPF calculation for Singaporean PR will be calculated ✓Voluntary CPF – This is where you can enter the amount that the company or the employee wants to contribute other than the calculated CPF ✓Select the Pay Day Group which will be used for the employee’s salary calculation ✓Enter the number of months in the Probation field to specify the probation period. Confirmation date will automatically calculate based on the number of months specified. ✓Last Pay Date – this will be enabled once the Termination Date is entered; this indicates the date that resigned employee will received the final pay ✓Enter the Salary Details of the employee oTick on Monthly Rate if the employee is paid on a monthly basis oVIP – for monthly rated employees, tick if the salary does not calculate Absences/Unpaid Leaves/Lateness. This option is usually used by company directors, owners, managers oFlat Rate - select this option if the employee’s OT is a fixed amount. Enter the amount in the field below the Flat Amount oOT Rate Capped to S$2250.00 – for non-workmen, tick this option to calculate the OT Rate based on 2250.00 amount only http://www.mom.gov.sg/employment-practices/hours-of-work-overtime-and-rest-days oEnter the Increment Amount if there is an increment for this employee > specify the effective date under Increment Date oTick Hourly Rate and hourly amount for employees paid by the hour oTick Daily Rate and select the rate created from the dropdown menu if the employee is paid per day
✓Tick the Component button to enter the breakdown of the employee’s basic salary: oSelect whether the salary components will be a Fixed Amount or by Percentage oEnter the specific amount for each component under the Fix Amount and Inc Amount (if there is any increment for the month) column oTick on CPF Contribution if the component is subject to CPF oClick ✓Select whether the employee is paid Once a Month or Twice a Month, which should match the Pay Day Group selected **Note: If Twice A Month have been selected, then user has to specify under the Mid Month Pay how much salary will be paid out first (by percentage or fixed amount)
✓Select the Employer CPF reference number from the drop down menu ✓Select Employment Type – to classify employee’s status of employment (Singaporean, Singapore PR, Employment Pass, S Pass, Work Permit), which can be used to filter reports. This is also used for the Staff Info table, wherein the user can see at a glance the number of the employees per Employee Type ✓Select the Payment Mode for the salary of the employee
**Note: This allows the user to key in multiple payment mode (maximum of 3 payment mode) per month to each employee. For BANK DISK, user has to key in the Employee’s Bank Name, Branch ID & Bank Account No. Example: CASH = 50%, CHEQUE = 25%, BANK DISK = 25%
